Pets are considered "geriatric" at 7 years of age. In addition to annual exams, they may need further testing.
Annual examinations: In addition to the regular annual vaccinations and heartworm testing, we will check for signs of aging, such as arthritis and cataracts.
Senior blood panel: We also highly recommend a senior blood screening to check organ function, blood count and thyroid levels. This is done in-house and takes about 15 minutes.
Other services: We offer a variety of supplements to help your family member with the aging process. We also offer Adequan injections for senior dogs, which can aid tremendously if your pet is slowing down due to hip and joint problems. X-rays can also be done to assess the condition of your pet's hips and knees.
